【摘要】:Manyofthespecimensthatareregularlysubmittedtomeasurementdepartinsomedegreefromtheidealrequirements.Forthisreasoninstrumentalreadingsareaffectedimportantlybythemannerinwhichspecimensareselectedandpresentedformeasurement.Reproduciblemeasurementsarefacilitatedbystandardizationandcontroloftestconditions.1.1Thispracticeprovidesaguidetoselectionofspecimensforappearancemeasurementbyreflectedlightaswellasadiscussionoffactorstobeconsideredintheirpreparationformeasurement.Standardizedselectionandpresentationprocedureswillassistinachievingagreementbetweenevaluationscarriedoutindifferentlaboratoriesaswellashelpingtoachievebettercorrelationsbetweenvisualevaluationsandinstrumentalmeasurements.Note18212;Thisstandardisnotapracticeforpreparationoftestpanelsofcoatings;seePracticesD823.1.2Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
