【摘要】:Thispracticeisbasedontheuseofelectricalresistanceasanindicatorofcontactperformance.Existingstandards,suchasthosereferencedinSection2asrepresentativeexamples,providethebasisforappliedtestconditions.Modificationsinprocedureorsamplesize,orboth,ofexistingstandardsmayhavetobemadetoprovideforresistancemeasurementandtomeetvariabilityindexrequirementsthatausermayspecify.Thispracticeaccommodatestheuseofmultipletestmethods,asmayberequiredtoassuresatisfactoryperformanceinagivenapplication.1.1Thispracticeprovidesauniformmethodofspecifyingperformancerequirementsfor(orreportingtestresultsof)electricalcontactandconnectionsystems.Bothconductorandconnectorsystemperformancemaybespecifiedbythispractice,separatelyorincombination.1.2Thispracticemaybeusedforseparableorpermanentcontactsemployingmetallicconductorsandcontacts.1.3Thispracticeprovidesmethodsforbothsignalandpowerapplications.1.4Thispracticedoesnotspecifythesamplepreparationortestsequencesrequiredfordeterminingcontactperformance.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthispracticetodeterminetheappliedtestsequence(s)appropriatefortheapplication.1.5Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.ItistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtobecomefamiliarwithallhazardsincludingthoseidentifiedintheappropriateMaterialSafetyDataSheet(MSDS)forthisproduct/materialasprovidedbythemanufacturer,toestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpractices,anddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
